# Google AI Analysis

> Track your brand's visibility in Google AI Mode and AI Overview - the two AI-powered features reshaping Google Search.

The Google AI Analysis tracks your brand's visibility specifically within Google's two AI-powered search features: **AI Mode** and **AI Overview**. These are separate from traditional Google Search results and represent a growing share of how travelers discover brands.

## What Are These Two Platforms?

### Google AI Mode

Google's dedicated AI search engine. It is a conversational interface where users get full AI-generated answers with rich content elements like images, result boxes, and shopping cards. Think of it as Google's answer to ChatGPT. When someone searches in AI Mode, Google generates a complete response rather than just showing a list of links.

### Google AI Overview

The AI-generated summary box that appears at the **top** of regular Google Search results. When you search for something like "best hotels in Paris," the AI Overview is the box above the traditional results that gives a quick AI-synthesized answer with inline citations and highlighted key terms.

<Note>
  Both features pull from different data and serve different user intents. You may perform well on one and poorly on the other, which is why tracking both separately matters.

## Overview Metrics

### Inclusion Rate

The percentage of your tracked queries where your brand was mentioned in the AI response. This is your fundamental "are we showing up?" metric.

**Example:** If you track 100 queries and your brand appears in 15 AI Mode responses, your AI Mode Inclusion Rate is 15%.

### Citation Share

The percentage of all citation links in AI responses that point to your website. Citations are clickable links that drive actual traffic.

**Why it matters:** Even if you are mentioned in the text, without a citation link users cannot easily click through to your site. High citation share means high referral potential.

### Total Queries

The total number of search queries tracked on each platform. This gives context to all other percentages. A 50% inclusion rate on 10 queries is less meaningful than 50% on 200 queries.

## AI Mode Detail Metrics

When you drill into AI Mode details, you will see:

* **Queries Tracked** - Total queries monitored on AI Mode
* **Mentions Found** - How many AI Mode responses mentioned your brand by name
* **Quick Results Rate** - The percentage of responses that include structured answer cards with ratings, prices, and addresses (when available)
* **Shopping Results** - Shopping cards with prices and booking links shown in responses (when available)

<Tip>
  For travel and tourism queries, quick results and shopping cards are less common. These metrics appear automatically once Google starts generating these features for your query types. If they are not visible on your dashboard, that is normal.

## AI Overview Detail Metrics

When you drill into AI Overview details, you will see:

* **Queries Tracked** - Total queries monitored on AI Overview
* **Mentions Found** - How many AI Overview responses mentioned your brand

### Snippet Links Rate (Most Important AI Overview Metric)

The percentage of AI Overview responses that contain inline citation links - clickable source references embedded in the text. These are the primary way users discover and click through to source websites from AI Overviews.

**Example:** A 46% snippet links rate means nearly half of all AI Overview responses include clickable citation links. These are opportunities for your brand to earn direct traffic from AI search.

### Snippet Links Count

The total number of inline citation links across all AI Overview responses. More snippet links means more chances for your website to be cited.

### Additional Metrics (When Available)

* **Highlighted Words Rate** - How often Google bolds or emphasizes specific terms in AI Overview responses
* **Media Inclusion Rate** - How often images or videos appear in AI Overview responses
* **Media Count** - Total media elements across all responses

<Note>
  Some metrics only appear when Google generates those features for your query types. The dashboard automatically hides metrics with no data rather than showing confusing "0%" values. They will appear as soon as relevant data is collected.
